Piccadilly Restaurant Closing
It looks like the Quarterly meeting location for OHS 1962 classmates will need to find a new home. The OSB announced today that the Piccadilly restaurant is closing. Most of us remember this being the Morrison's Cafeteria that had it's Grand Opening around 1957/58 if I remember correctly. When I worked at Publix, about once a month my co-workers, Joe Zucchero, James Harrison (not Jimmy), Tom Ward, Wade White and I would go to Morrison's for lunch. That was back when you could buy a full meal for under $3.00, which included a 50 cent tip for the waiter (which was generous back then). I don't think Piccadilly ever had the same level of quality of food as Morrison's, which may be why they finally went out of business. The Ocala we remember is rapidly disappearing.
